01 / TRAINING & CPD
Research-informed training
We deliver engaging training for schools, nurseries, early years organisations and professional networks, combining the latest research with practical strategies that can be applied in everyday practice.
Sessions can be delivered face-to-face or online, as keynotes, workshops, INSET sessions or longer programmes of professional development. We can deliver existing sessions or develop completely bespoke training around your priorities.

Our work with the Department for Education has included:
- Co-leading the Early Years strand of the Educational Neuroscience Policy Research Centre
- Contributing as an Early Years Subject Matter Expert to the DfE’s Early Years Child Development Training, including the development of online training content for professionals working with children aged 0–2

ISEY has worked with Moments Education to develop materials and training resources for parent workshops and facilitator training.

ISEY contributed to the Growing Together in Scotland Early Years Conference, presenting neuroscientific evidence on screen use in the Early Years to professionals working across early years services and family support in Glasgow and Central Scotland.

ISEY has worked with the Institute of Health Visiting to explore screen use in the Early Years and its implications for babies, young children and families.
Professor Sam Wass has delivered talks considering the latest research alongside practical guidance for professionals supporting parents.

Dr Katie Daubney lead a workshop on children’s digital wellbeing within the “Supporting a Healthy Society” strand for delegates at the British-Irish Council Symposium 2026, comprising policy officials, academics, experts and representatives from across the Council’s eight member administrations

Bright Start Foundation, Abu Dhabi
ISEY has contributed to the Bright Start Foundation through international knowledge exchange and thought leadership in Early Years development.
Professor Sam Wass delivered a keynote exploring how young children learn to predict what will happen next, and why early learning depends on experiences that are engaging while remaining sufficiently slow, structured and predictable.
