Veron Duberry

Veron is a research assistant intern at ISEY. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science and is currently pursuing an MRes in Bioscience and Social Justice. His research focuses on antimicrobial resistance, with a particular current attention to the role of environmental factors, such as microplastics, in freshwater ecosystems. This work reflects a broader interest in understanding the biological and social dimensions of antimicrobial resistance and its implications for global health.

In addition to his research training, Veron has experience in academic mentoring and collaborative laboratory work, supporting the development of students and contributing to interdisciplinary projects. His motivation is grounded in the conviction that scientific inquiry should not only generate knowledge but also inform equitable and socially responsible responses to complex health challenges. Through his role at ISEY, he aims to contribute to advancing research at the intersection of bioscience, social justice, and community impact.
